DESCRIPTION:April is National Donate Life Month\, and Atrium Medical Center in conjunction with LifeCenter Organ Donor Network will host Wednesday\, April 19\, 2017\, a Donate Life flag raising ceremony open to the public in honor of those who have given or received a life-saving organ or tissue donation.\n\n \n\nThe ceremony will be held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday\, starting in the main lobby and then moving outside of the Middletown hospital's main entrance. Then\, visitors can stop by the LifeCenter display near Atrium Caf  from 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. to learn more about organ donation.\n\n \n\nFor more information\, contact LifeCenter Organ Donor Network at 513-558-5555.\n\n \n\nAtrium Medical Center is located at One Medical Center Drive in Middletown.\n\n \n\nLocally\, more than 600 people are on the waiting list for an organ transplant and nationally\, more than 119\,000 people are on the waiting list. An average 22 people die every day waiting for a transplant in the U.S.\, according to LifeCenter and Donate Life America.\n\n \n\nAtrium Medical Center is a full-service hospital and Level III Trauma Center located conveniently along the Interstate 75 corridor at exit 32\, One Medical Center Drive in Middletown\, between Cincinnati and Dayton. The hospital employs more than 1\,500 people in full-time\, part-time and on-call positions. Atrium is operated by the Dayton-based nonprofit Premier Health system.\n\n \n\nLifeCenter's mission is to save\, enhance and change lives through organ and tissue donation.
